Research:

This is the family of John E. Coogan, who first appears in the
records of the State of New York in the 1940 US Census.  At that
time, he lived in the Bronx Borough of New York City.  It is
likely that his family has roots in that area.

We are trying to confirm a connection to a larger Coogan family 
from the townland of Ballyloughan, County Carlow, Ireland.

Over time, the family spread Yorktown Heights (Westchester 
County), New York, along with the states of California and
Florida.
