Research:

This is the Coogan family of Cheshire, England. The ancestors of 
this family were born in Ireland and emigrated to the United 
Kingdom in the early Nineteenth Century.  The group is connected
to Wirral and Birkenhead.  Members of this family eventually 
settled in Lancashire. 

Charles Denis Rhoderic Coogan moved much farther afield.  He 
initially lived on the Isle of Man before emigrating to Australia
in the early Twentieth Century.  He settled in Perth, Western
Australia, and ultimately moved to Melbourne, Victoria.

Apparently, Charles abandoned a family in the Isle of Man when
he departed the United Kingdom.  Additional information is needed
to confirm this story.
