This is a Coogan family with unknown origins in Ireland.

The closest that the CRG has been able to get to a COOGAN
family with this line is that one individual was married in
Vigo County, Indiana.  Research related to group of Coogans from 
that area (also on the CRG) may eventually help to identify the 
link.

Descendants of this family later lived in the United States,
with connections to Missouri and Oklahoma.

Barbara was told all her life that Jackie COOGAN (the actor)
was a cousin of her father's.  She believes that the family
was connected to him through the WOOD surname.
