He married Mabel Paulson in Nielsville, MN, 09 FEB 1929. Mabel was born 05 MAR 1904. Mabel died 04 AUG 1971 in Milroy, Redwood, MN, at 67 years of age.

He resided in Granite Rock, Redwood, MN 1900. He appears in the 1900 US Census.

He resided in Thief River Falls, MN MAY 1930. The obituary of his brother, James, stated his residence.

Edward T. Shanley and Mabel Paulson had the following children:

• 158 i. Terrence⁴ Shanley. Terrence died 20 MAR 2002 in Schofield, WI, at 66 years of age.
