Notable persons at this site include:
 James J. Coogan (1833-1891?), who emigrated from Monaghan, IRELAND, to Kingston, NY, in the early 1850s. He worked with his brothers as a bartender at the Coogan Hotel. Later, he seems to have joined his brother, Michael, as a stonecutter. His whereabouts are last known in 1890 - he was still living in at Michael's home in Kingston.
