William Coogan of Whitesboro, N.Y., aged [68] years, 7 months and [6] days. Resting at the B. L. Wrench Home, [..oe] Stain St., Whitesboro, where friends may call at their convenience. Funeral tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 9 o'clock, and from St. Paul's Church at 9:30. [21] APR 1951 MRS. WILLIAM COOGAN - Whitesboro - Mrs. William Coogan, 82, formerly of Whitesboro, died Apr. 20, 1951, in a Rome hospital after a long illness. Winifred Lloyd was born in Marcy on July 9, 1868, daughter of the late Jonathan and Fannie Humphrey Lloyd. After her marriage to William Coogan they resided in Whitesboro. Mr. Coogan died in 1938. She was a member of the Whitesboro Methodist Church and a former member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Mrs. Coogan leaves several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Howard H. Wells Funeral Home, 100 Main, Whitesboro, with the Rev. Frank T. Bennetta officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Whitesboro. 12 DEC 1959 MRS. MARY COOGAN JONES - Wife of Late Police Chief - Mrs. Mary A. Jones, 77, of Oneida Castle, formerly of 1648 Miller St., Utica, and wife of the late John J. Jones Sr., who was chief of police of the City of Utica at the time of his death, died yesterday in Oneida City Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Jones was born in Whitesboro, on June 21, 1882, daughter of John and Katherine Stevens Coogan. In 1902 in St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro, she was married to Mr. Jones. He died July, 1947. She had resided in Utica since 1908. Two years ago she moved to Oneida Castle where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Richard Harrigan. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church, Utica, its Alter-Rosary Society, and the Ladies of Charity of St. John and St. Joseph's Home and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Besides Mrs. Harrigan she leaves two sons, John J. Jones, a lieutenant in the Utica Fire Department, and Raymond F. Jones of Vero Beach, Fla.; a brother, Lawrence Coogan of Fresno, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., at a time to be announced, and from St. Francis de Sales Church, where a solemn requiem Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
