COOGAN - Stephen A. "Steve" Coogan, 90, died March 1, 2006, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. He was born in Cohonogham, Ireland, and moved to Sebastian in 1984, coming from Brooklyn, N.Y. He worked for the New York Telephone Co., New York City, for 20 years. He was a member of Saint Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian; the Knights of Columbus in New York; and the Moose Lodge and the Eagles, both of Sebastian. Survivors include granddaughter, Debra Coogan Parraga of Sebastian; grandsons Vincent Matos of Aurora, Colo., Anthony Matos of Melbourne; granddaughter, Kelly Coogan of Long Island, N.Y.; grandson Stephen Coogan of Long Island, N.Y.; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Coogan. SERVICES: There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon March 4 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. He was born in Baltimore, and lived in Port St. Lucie for eight years, coming from Fort Pierce. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. Before retirement, he was a self-employed master plumber in Baltimore and Boca Raton. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gertrude Coogan, of Port St. Lucie, and a sister, Katherine Mamock, of Annapolis Md. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. SERVICES: Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie. 18 MAY 2007 GERTRUDE COOGAN - Gertrude E. Coogan, 84, died May 16, 2007, at St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie. She was born in Baltimore and lived in Port St. Lucie for the past eight years, coming for Fort Pierce. Before retirement, she was employed with Monumental Life Insurance Company for 10 years in Maryland. Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Coogan, on April 15. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie. 01 NOV 2008 JEANNE COOGAN - Jeanne Coogan of Jupiter died Wednesday, Oct. 22 in Palm Beach Gardens. She was born in Hackensack, NJ. She was a special buyer for Bloomingdales. Survivors include a sister, Catherine Coogan of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and five cousins, William Higbie and wife Monica of Branchville, N.J., Peter Ehrhardt and wife Donna of Carlsbad, N.M., Benjamin Higbie of South Korea, Logan Higbie of Philadelphia and Sharyl Schoenleber and husband Kenneth of Allenhurst, N.J. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. SUnday, Nov. 9 at Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter.
