COOGAN - BEVERLY - Gregory P. Coogan, 50, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 17, 2009. Born in Boston on Feb. 17, 1959, he was the son of John R. and Ruth A. (Baker) Coogan of Beverly. Greg was a lifelong resident of Beverly and a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1978, and received his B.A. degree in Political Science from Salem State College, Class of 1983. He was employed in the healthcare industry for many years. He was a longtime member of the Jubilee Yacht Club in Beverly and enjoyed working in boat restorations. In addition to his parents, Greg is survived by two brothers, Jonathan P. Coogan and his identical twin, Geoffrey P. Coogan, both of Beverly. Arrangements by the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, Beverly. 19 JAN 2010 ALEXANDER MCKEAN COOGAN - MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — Alexander McKean Coogan of Manchester-by-the-Sea died suddenly on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010. Born in Beverly on March 12, 1962, to Gordon and Suzee Coogan, Alex graduated from St. Paul's School in Concord, N.H., and received his architectural degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. Alex started his career at Architectural Resources Collaborative (ARC) in Cambridge before establishing his own firm in Manchester. Among his many projects, he was noted for his work on the Sanford Institute of Public Policy at Duke University; the Fly Club at Harvard University; Brookwood School in Manchester-by-the- Sea; the expansion at St. John's Episcopal Church; the Burrage residence in Manchester-by-the-Sea and the Roberts residence in Wenham. Alex was a devoted father, husband and friend. He was an avid fisherman and loved more than anything to spend time outdoors with his family, friends and lively dog, Maggie. Alex is survived by his much-adored wife and daughter, Alice and Lauren; his mother, Suzee MacDougall of Mexico; his father, Gordon G. Coogan of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Jay and Gordon; and his sister, Caryn Whitney. He will be missed and ever-remembered by a multitude of friends and extended family. [photo] 25 FEB 2012 JOHN R. COOGAN - John R. Coogan, 81, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the Beverly Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Baker) Coogan. Born in Boston on April 23, 1930, he was the son of the late John R. and Gertrude (Garey) Coogan. He has resided in Beverly for the past forty years. John was one of the founding members of the “Friends of the Beverly Public Library” and also served on the financial committee for the addition to the library. He also devoted over 10,000 hours working in the emergency room at Beverly Hospital. He was a great world traveler and history buff. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jonathan Coogan. He was also predeceased by his twin sons, Gregory and Geoffrey Coogan. Coogan of Beverly, passed away on Friday evening, July 3, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. Born in Boston on July 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Delano and Ellen (Quincy) Kennard. Janice grew up in Wenham prior to moving to Beverly where she raised her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed time spent near the ocean and the lakes of New Hampshire. Janice possessed a true spirit for life and had a remarkable sense of humor even at the end. Janice spent most of her life in the restaurant business as a waitress at many local establishments; most recently she was a hostess at the River Street Grille in Beverly. Janice is survived by her daughters, Paula Petrosino and husband, John of Beverly, Danette Verga and husband, John of Gloucester, Lynne Anderson and husband, Steven of Fryeburg, Maine, Joann Clark and husband, Adrian of Georgetown; grandchildren, Kristen Petrosino and fiancé, Matt Durand, John Petrosino, Samantha Watson and husband, Alexander, Jamie Verga and wife, Jennifer, Steven Anderson and wife, Agi, Jonathan Anderson and wife, Lara, CJ and Mark Matheson, Austin and April Clark; seven great-grand- children; and her brother, Delano Kennard and wife, Ellie of Laconia, N.H.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
