Coogan of Rural Route 1, Trenton, died Friday at Medic/Ayres Convalescent Center in Trenton following an extended illness. She was 81. Born and raised in Wallsberg, Utah, she had lived in Wallingford, Pa., Fort Lauderdale and Ocala. In 1980, she moved to Chiefland, where she lived with her son-in-law, William Schweikle. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chiefland. She is survived by her son, Garth Penrod Coogan of Poughquag, N. Y.; daughter, Karen Lee Coogan of Glenwood; sister, MaDella Kelly of Los Angeles; brother, Paul Penrod of Albion, Idaho; five grand- children; and four great-grandchildren. 01 SEP 1987 - [PAGE 2B] WILLIAM JOHN COOGAN - ARCHER - William John Coogan of Archer died Monday at Alachua General Hospital. He was 70. Mr. Coogan was born in New Haven, Conn. and moved to Archer 5 1/2 years ago from Fort Lauderdale. He was a retired electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 728. Mr. Coogan served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Coogan of Archer; a daughter, Diann Wilson of Toronto; and two grand-children. 01 SEP 1987 COOGAN, MR. WILLIAM JOHN - Funeral services for Mr. Coogan, age 70, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 1987 at Chapel of Knauff Funeral Home, Williston, with Father Nicholas Glisson conducting the services. Arrangements are under the directions of KNAUFF FUNERAL HOME, Williston, Fl. Mr. Coogan, who lived at University Oaks (Archer) died Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
