Patterson Coogan, 96, of Old Saybrook, Conn., formerly of Holland Township, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, in Gladeview Health Care in Old Saybrook. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., a daughter of the late Stephen and Ann Daniels Patterson. Personal: Her husband, Edmund G., died earlier. She had lived in Holland Township for many years before moving to Connecticut. Survivors: two sons, John P. of Gastonia, N.C., and Robert E., and his wife, Kathleen F., of Clinton, Conn.; a niece, Joan Ottaviano of East Northport, Long Island, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren. A daughter-in-law, Bernice F. Coogan, died earlier. Services: 9 a.m. Saturday in the W.E. Johnson Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Milford. Born: Sharon was born on May 26, 1941 in Binghamton, NY, a daughter of June Rhodes of Batavia, NY, and the late Richard Dorf. Personal: Sharon and her husband Robert L. Coogan were married on April 28, 1962 in St. Mary's Church, Batavia, NY celebrating 49 years of marriage together. She was a consultant for Avon for 15 years and a secretary for Raritan Valley Community College, before retiring in 2002. Oakley Coogan, 86, formerly of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in ManorCare, Palmer Township. Born July 3, 1930, in Copenhagen, Denmark, she was a daughter of Holger and Ella Larsen Nimb. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Coogan, who died in 1980. Francis retired as a corporate travel agent from Rosenbluth Travel, Allentown. After retirement, she worked part-time for PennDot taking driver's license photos until she was 83 years old. Years ago, she worked for the former Falk's Food Basket. Francis enjoyed traveling, bingo and attending her grandsons' sporting events. Surviving are a son, Mark H. Oakley and his wife Nanci, of Palmer Township; a sister, Margrethe Simonsen, of Copenhagen, Denmark and two grandsons, Ian and Erik. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Nimb and a sister, Connie Fritzo.
