She was president of Holy Family Society, Lincoln. She was a former CCD instructor at Carroll School, Lincoln. She was active in Democratic politics in Logan County and had served as precinct committeewoman in Lincoln. She had won awards for her ceramics. She married Dennis Darter Jan. 2, 1971. Surviving are her daughter, Tracie Darter of Decatur; son, Joe Darter of Lincoln; sisters, Deborah (Tony) Soloman; Denise Coogan, both of Lincoln; brother, Steven (Pam) Coogan of Latham.
