He was fifty-two years old. Born and educated in Hastings-on-Hudson, he came to Yonkers 20 years ago, when he took charge of the heating plant at the research institute here. His age was 52. Born in Hastings-on- Hudson, he had lived in Yonkers for nineteen years. He was associated for twenty years with the Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research. He leaves a widow, Minnie L. Coogan; three sons, John of the Army, Fred of the Army and Peter F.
