Y., a native of Pittsfield, well known in this city, died yesterday morning of heart disease after having collapsed in Grand Central Terminal in New York City. He was 53 years old. Born in Pittsfield, Mr. Coogan attended the schools there and was prominent in athletics while at the Pittsfield high school, making many trips to this city with various athletic teams. He graduated from Holy Cross College in 1902. At the time of his death he was vice-president and selling agent of the Appalacian Mills, manufacturers of heavy weight cotton underwear. He is survived by his widow, a son and a daughter, all of Bronxville. _____________________________________________________________________
