COOGAN, 57, of Lehman Township, PA, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 7, 2012, in his home. Born on August 29, 1954 in Bronx, NY, he was a son of the late John Bernard and Theresa Elizabeth (Kristinich) Coogan and lived in Pike County since 2003. He previously lived in Morristown, Landing and Fortsill OK. He was a 1972 graduate of Roxbury High School and served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1994. His twenty years of military service included tours in Germany, Korea and Desert Storm. Michael was also a surveyor and currently worked as a ranger for the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (U.S. National Park Service). He enjoyed model building, scuba diving and being a dad. Surviving are two children, Jacqueline Coogan of Littleton, CO and Christopher Coogan of Easton, PA; four siblings, John Coogan of East Stroudsburg, PA, Liz Coogan of Budd Lake, Kevin Coogan of Landing and Barbara Coogan of Astoria, NY and several nieces and nephews. There will be viewing hours from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 8:30 PM on Friday, February 10, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA www.wmhclarkfuneralhome.com. Cremation will take place following the viewing. Burial with military honors will be at 12:30 PM on Friday, February 17, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
