OBITUARY NOTES

Michael Coogan, one of the best known citizens of Harrison, 
N.J., died Monday at Newark, aged sixty-four years.  Mr. 
Coogan was a Democratic politician well known in Essex and 
Hudson Counties.  He was a School Trustee in 1866 and 1867 
and a member of the Assembly in 1869, 1870, and 1871.  Mr. 
Coogan had in later years been a member of the Harrison
Common Council and the Hudson County Board of Freeholders.
