Coogan (Fiance Marlene Beeson), Mark Coogan, John (Lindsay) DeLuca, and Moira (Matthew) Carroll; loving great-grandmother of Michael, Megan, Patrick and Brigid Coogan and Molly Rose, Kathleen, Grace and Kevin Curley; devoted "second mom" to many, especially the O'Briens, Sharon Sanders and Peggy Medieros; and a good and kind friend to so very many. A lifelong resident of the south side and a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Visitation Monday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, 9 a.m., from Edgar Funeral Home (D.F. Curley Sons Directors), 10900 S. Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn, to St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 10134 S. Longwood Dr., Chicago, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Mary will be buried next to her beloved Bill and her son Denis at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL, with an Irish wake to follow. In lieu of flowers, Mary wished to be remembered with gifts to the poor and hungry via Catholic Charities or the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
