His home was at Calamine, about six miles northwest of here. He lived for more than 80 years in Kendall township. Survivors are a son, John, and daughter, Mrs. John Smith, Kendall, and three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Fleming and Miss Margaret, Calamine, and Mrs. West Ray, Browntown. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in St. Michael's church at Calamine, with the Rev. Lawrence Bindle officiating. Mr. Coogan formerly served as town chairman and was a member of the school board at Willow Springs.
