Born in Pawtucket, R.I., he was a seasonal resident since 1976 from North Attleboro, Mass., where he was owner of a laundry and dry cleaning business. He was a Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Mary; and two sons, Paul, Worcester, Mass., and James, North Attleboro. Lewis W. Coogan, 85, of 66 Johnson St. died Friday [25 DEC 1992] at a nursing home in Redington Shores, Fla. He was the husband of Mary (Clark) Coogan. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Patrick and Cathleen (Fox) Coogan, he lived in North Attleboro for many years. Mr. Coogan was an auditor in the General Accounting Office of the federal government for more than 15 years. He was a partner in the Interboro Laundry Co. from 1953 to the mid 1970s. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Paul C. Coogan of Worcester and James W. Coogan of North Attleboro. Cremation will be in Florida.
