Obituary of Howard R. Coogan

BATH -- Howard R. Coogan, 91, formerly of Maplewood Avenue in North 
Hornell, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at the Steuben County Health 
Related Facility.

A boxer in his early years, he had been a self-employed house 
painter.

Survivors include a daughter, Twyla Bates of Florida, and several 
nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bender-Brown & Powers 
Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St., Hornell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. 
Ann’s Church, Hornell, the Rev. Elias Menuba officiating. Burial 
will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Hornell.
