Coogan, of New Hope, died Saturday [11 MAY 2013] at home. He was 55. Born in Valley Forge, he resided in New Hope most of his life. He was a self employed dog groomer. Son of the late Arthur W. Coogan, he is survived by his partner, Raymond Shaffer; his mother, Elsie Smith Coogan Frizzell; a sister, Constance H. Tribo and her husband, Thomas Tribo Jr.; two brothers, Arthur Coogan and William Coogan and his wife, Ruth; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved dogs, Wilma and Jasper. A Burial Office will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Philips Church in New Hope. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, N. J. Burial will be in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick, N. J.
