Obituary of Edmund G. Coogan

CLINTON, Conn. - Edmund G. Coogan, who lived in Holland Township
until moving recently to Connecticut, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1992,
at Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Middletown, Conn.  He was 88.

He worked as a paymaster for U.S. Steel Export in New York City
before his retirement in 1964.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late John and Ann Bauer
Coogan.

He was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Milford.

Mr. Coogan is survived by his wife, the former Florence Patterson;
two sons, Robert E. Coogan of Clinton, Conn., and John P. Coogan of
Gastonia, N.C.; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the W. E. Johnson Funeral 
Home, Holland Township, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at
St. Edward's Church.

Burial was in Milford Union Cemetery.
