Coogan ___________________________________________________________________ (extracted from "Scotch Plains/Fanwood Times" [NJ], 21 NOV 1996, PAGE 11): CHARLES V. COOGAN, 78 Charles V. Coogan, 78, formerly of Westfield, died Friday, November 15, at the Chandler Regional Hospital in Chandler, Arizona. Born in Newark, he had resided in Westfield from 1947 to 1995, prior to moving to Arizona. He had been employed for 25 years as a semi-tractor trailer driver for the Trinity Bag and Paper Company. He retired 18 years ago. Mr. Coogan served in the United States Coast Guard in World War II. He had been active in the Roman Catholic Church of St. Helen in Westfield and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are two sons, Thomas J. Coogan of Colorado, and Charles V. Coogan of Sayreville; a daughter, Mrs. Diane P.
