COOGAN, 85, of Wordell Lane, died Thursday at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. She was the wife of the late Army Sgt. Maj. Patrick Coogan. Born in Manching, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Mathias and Theresa (Rupp) Schmiedi. Mrs. Coogan resided in Little Compton for three years, having previously lived in El Paso, Texas. She leaves five daughters, Anne Marie Reuter of Little Compton, Joanne Casey of Hanover, Mass., Patricia M. Silvernail of Kennewick, Wash., Linda S. Coogan of Oceanside, Calif., and Sandra T. Barron of Annandale, Va.; three sisters, Marie Lederer and Else Rindlbacher, both in Germany, and Herta Dube of Somerset; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today in Harding-Orr and McDaniel Funeral Home, where the funeral will be at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Survivors include her daughters, Anne Marie Reuter, Joanne Casey, Patricia M. Silvernail, Linda S. Coogan and Sandra T. Barron; three sisters; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
