Deming, 1946) [PAGE ?]: "Laurence Coogan and his wife, Margaret Grace, came to Haydenville from Ireland about 1840 with their children: Edmund L., who married Mary Donaghue; Anastacia, who married Daniel Sheehan; and Katherine, who married Thomas Ahern. Edmund L. had four children: Laurence E. who married Margaret P. Driscoll of Boston; Thomas J., who married Mary W. Welch; Helen G., who married Edward L. Keefe; and Katherine R., who died in 1943. The children of Thomas and Mary W. Coogan are Laurence E., Jr.; James F., who served as a captain in the U. S. Army in World War II; Mary R.; and Thomas J., Jr., who is a staff sergeant in the famous 4th Marine Division, now at Bainbridge, Maryland, N. T. C."
