COOGAN story

MAN KICKED BY HORSE

Thomas Coogan, aged 54, lately residing at Bolacco, Dalgety, via
Cooma, was kicked by a horse at his home last week, his thigh being
fractured.  He was conveyed by train to Sydney, and thence to Jenner
private hospital.  It was decided to perform an operations, and at
about 1 p.m. on Monday [30 MAY 1921] an anaesthetic was administered.  
The patient suddenly collapsed, and although every effort was made to 
restore animation, death ensued.
