http://www.cooganresearchgroup.com/crg/index.htm 24 September 2011 COOGAN story ___________________________________________________________________ appearing in "San Francisco Call" [CA], 01 DEC 1902: HURT WHILE BOARDING TRAIN Leland Coogan, 15 years of age, residing at 1912 Mason street, was seriously injured yesterday afternoon while attempting to board one of the steam trains bound for the Cliff House from California street. Young Coogan tried to jump on the moving train after it had left the depot. The impetus of the cars threw him beneath the wheels with serious results. At the Park Emergency Hospital it was found that both of his legs were broken, his left arm fractured, likewise his collarbone and the right side of his face severly lacerated.
