Research:

This is a very old family of Coogans from County Wigton (AKA 
Wigtownshire), Scotland, United Kingdom.  They were living there as 
early as the beginning of the Sixteenth Century.  It is likely that 
the family had connections with Ireland before this.

One descendant of this family appears to have actually moved to 
Ireland in the late Sixteenth or early Seventeenth Century, 
probably settling in County Meath.

This family has been found as COOGIN.

We are currently looking for someone to link with this family and 
to take over the search!
