Research:

This is the family of Owen Coogan.  He was born in County 
Monaghan, Ireland, and lived in the townland of Tullycorbet.

Owen's son, Francis Coogan, later emigrated to Scotland, where 
he resided in Renfrewshire.  Francis eventually moved to the 
United States (1923) and settled in New York City (Brooklyn and 
Manhattan).  Many of his descendants still live there today.

One branch of this family now lives in North Carolina.
