Research:

This is one of the COOGAN families that lived in Northern Ireland
and later may have made connections to Essex County, New Jersey 
(USA).

There is a very good chance that this group is connected to the
family of James Coogan (c.1850) from County Monaghan.  This line
later moved into County Antrim and later emigrated to the US,
settling in Hudson County, New Jersey. If this theory is correct, 
then Francis X. Coogan in generation 04 below would connect to 
the the same namesake in the file called "belfast.txt" on the CRG 
site.
