Research:

This is the family of Patrick Coogan of Togher Parish, County 
Louth, Ireland.  

Patrick's son, Andrew Coogan, had several children who emigrated 
to the United Kingdom in the late Nineteenth Century.  They 
settled in Glasgow, Scotland.

Patrick's grand-daughter, Mary Coogan, moved to Philadelphia, 
Pennsylvania.

Descendants of Patrick's grand-daughter, Bridget Coogan, moved to
New York.

Descendants of Patrick's grand-son, James Coogan, eventually 
moved to Australia.

One member of this family, Andrew Coogan, was recently selected
as a Torchbearer for the 2012 London Olympic Games (at the age
of 96!).  Andrew has also been honored as a Commander of the 
British Empire (C.B.E.).

Eric, Thomas and David are also descended from this line.

Peggy is a descendant of Patrick Coogan through his granddaughter 
Mary.

Eamonn married into this family - his wife is Joan Coogan, a
