Research:

This is the family of William Coogan of Rathvilly Parish, County 
Carlow, Ireland.  His children were born in Englishtown.  They
emigrated to the United States in 1850 (after William's death ?) 
and settled in the New York City area.

This family has also appeared as COGAN.
