Research:

This is the family of James Coogan.  He was born in Ireland and
emigrated to the United States in the early Twentieth Century.
He settled in New York City, although his apparently lived in
Stratford (Fairfield County), Connecticut, when his son was
born (1917).

James' son, James John Coogan, later moved to the Buffalo area 
(Erie County) of Western New York State.  Descendants still live 
in that region - some in the town of Tonawanda.

James' daughter, Mary A. Coogan, married into the Dumont family
and moved to Lowell (Middlesex County), Massachusetts.

This family has also been found as COGAN.

Brandon is a descendant of James Coogan through his daughter,
