Research:

This is the family of Michael Coogan.  He was born in Ireland.

Michael's son, Dominick Coogan, emigrated to the United States 
in the late Nineteenth Century.  He settled in Newark (Essex 
County), New Jersey, where he ran a furniture business for 
several years.

After his death, Dominick's wife Sarah moved the family to Troy 
(Rensselaer County), New York.  After roughly two decades there,
the family moved back to Essex County, NJ.  Sarah's sister, 
Catherine 'Kate' McGowan was living with the family in 1910 and 
1930.
