http://www.cooganresearchgroup.com/crg/index.htm 20 February 2012 Researcher (Location): #066 - Hildred Bennett Research: A baby was left in a basket on a porch on a street in Montgomery, Alabama in 1930. A note in the basket gave his name as "Jackie Coogan" and said he was born 16 MAR 1930. He was left at the home of an elderly lady who could not care for him. She called the police and they took the baby to the hospital in Montgomery. After living there for three days, he was placed in a foster home in Red Level, Alabama. Jackie's foster parents were Hosea and Ella Mae (Hogg) Mott. They eventually adopted him. Since the film star (Jackie Coogan) was very popular during the 1920s and 1930s, there is no certainty that the surname of this child is correct. The framework below is therefore highly speculative. _________________________________________________________________ Hildred is researching this family. ************************** 01.
