Research:

This is one of the COOGAN families of Mayhora (near Castlecomer),
County Kilkenny, Ireland.  There are many uncertainties within 
this framework and much needs to be discovered before it is 
complete.

There is also a chance that the first COOGAN ancestor was born a
HAYDEN (father John Hayden, merchant tailor, living in 1892) and 
married an unknown COOGAN prior to her marriage into the CRENNAN 
family.
