Research:

This is the family of Owen Coogan.  He was born in Ireland and 
emigrated to the United States in the mid Nineteenth Century.  
He settled in New York City, NY.

Owen's son, Terrence Coogan, remained in NYC and his children 
spread into Queens.  Another son, James P. Coogan, moved his 
family to Westchester County, and settled in Hastings-on-Hudson.  

This family as also be found as COUGAN.
