Research:

This is the family of Eamonn Coogan.  He was born in Castlecomer,
County Kilkenny, Ireland.  He was active during the time of the
Irish independence movement and later was an important member
of the police force.

Eamonn's son, Tim Pat Coogan, is an important writer on the
subjects of Irish nationalism and history.  His first book, 
published in 1966, is called "Ireland Since the Rising."  Other
titles include: "The IRA", "Wherever Green is Worn", "Ireland in
the Twentieth Century", and biographies of Michael Collins and
Eamonn de Valera.
